Vlasta Jalusic
Vlasta Jalusic is a senior researcher and a head of the
Peace Institute of Ljubljana, Slovenia, a guest professor at the Central
European University in Budapest and at European Peace University in Stadtschlaining,
Austria.
Her main fields of research are political theory, gender and
peace studies. She is the author of the books Until the Women Meddle...
Women, Revolutions and the Rest (Ljubljana, 1992), Women-Politics-Equal
Opportunities (together with Milica G. Antic, Ljubljana 2001), editor
of the book on feminist groups and movements in former Slovenia and Yugoslavia
How We Attended Feminist Gymnasium? (Ljubljana 2002), and translator and
editor of Hannah Arendt's The Human Condition in the Slovenian language
(Ljubljana, 1996). She has also published several articles and chapters
in books on women's movement and feminism, on notion of politics and Hannah
Arendt, on violence, intolerance, war and disintegration of Yugoslavia.
Presently she is working on a research about the notion of contemporary
citizenship and politics of exclusion in Central and Eastern Europe.
